How to find your PC's model number on Windows 10/11

Need to know your laptop or desktop model number for various reasons, here are a few different ways you can use to find PC model numbers quickly.

The three methods shown below work well in Windows 10 as well as Windows 11.

1. Inspect PC

The fastest way to find a PC model number is firstly to inspect your PC, especially for laptop devices.

You can easily find manufacturer labels or service tags present anywhere bottom of your laptop.

2. Use System Information

To find the PC model number using the System Info app, you can follow these steps:

Press the "Windows" key on your keyboard to open the Start menu.

Type "System Information" and click on the "System Information" app from the search results. Alternatively, you can press the "Windows" key + "R" to open the Run dialog box, type "msinfo32", and press Enter.

The System Information window will open, displaying various details about your computer.

Look for the "System Model" or "Model" entry in the System Summary section. The exact name may vary depending on your computer manufacturer and the version of Windows you're using.

The value next to "System Model" or "Model" is the model number of your PC. It typically consists of a combination of letters and numbers.

3. View the PC Model Using Settings

To find the PC model number using the Settings app, you can follow these steps:

Open the Settings app on your PC. You can usually access it by clicking the "Start" button (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner of the screen and selecting "Settings" from the menu.

In the Settings app, click on the "System" option. It is usually represented by an icon that looks like a computer monitor.

In the left sidebar of the System settings, select "About." This will display information about your PC.
