How to Check CPU Temperature in Windows 10&11

You are finding a way to check the CPU temperature of your Windows PC for some reason and can't able to find it anywhere in the settings or task manager,

Don't worry, we will show you two methods to check the CPU temperature of any Windows PC whether it runs on Windows 10 or Windows 11.

Sadly there is no official way Microsoft provided to check CPU temperature. but you can still check CPU temperature using a third-party tool or by accessing the boot menu of Windows.

There are a lot of third-party tools there that are accurately able to access the temperature sensor of your PC CPU core and show you the temperature in their applications.

1. Core Temp

It is one the the favorite CPU temperature monitoring apps that I use frequently. This app gives CPU temperature along with other important information like several cores that the CPU has and their respective temperature and maximum recorded temperature as well.

This app gives you the Maximum CPU temperature that your CPU handle without damage. 

It will give you how much load each CPU core is handling in percentage. Overall it is a great app for monitoring key matrices of your CPU.

To use this app simply download it from the official website open it and give permission to run it.

2. Speed fan

Speed fan app will give you reading data regarding to fan speed of your pc ( if have one) voltage consumption, and CPU temperature as well.

This app gives the hard disk temperature of a windows pc and gives you the ability to control your pc fan speed manually if needed.

Overall this app is fantastic for visualizing CPU and pc component data in chart and table format.

3. Real temp

Real temp app is good for pc running on Intel CPUs that have dual or quad core cpu installed. 

It gives you data regarding CPU temperature, load, and maximum recorded temp as well. The main downside of this app is only works for intel CPUs.

2. Use the UEFI boot menu

Besides using the above give the app to monitor CPU-related data you can use the UEFI boot menu to check temperatures.

1 . Open settings using the start menu

2. click update and security

3. click recovery and under advance startup click restart

4. the UEFI boot menu will open and click on troubleshoot

5. click on the advance option

6. then click on UEFI firmware settings

7. click on restart

Now your pc has entered in bios settings and in those settings, you will see the CPU-related information at the start page of this setting.

Note: Not all manufacturers will show CPU temperature in the bios setting so we recommend installing a third-party app to check CPU temperatures.
