How to Turn off Network Discovery in Windows 10

Want to turn off network discovery in your Windows 10 PC then follow the below-given steps to successfully turn off it using the control panel.

1. Open the control panel in Windows 10 using the Windows search bar 

2. Click on the control panel from the search results 

3. Click the network and internet option 

4. Select network and sharing center 

5. Click on the Change advanced sharing settings link located in the left sidebar of the control panel 

6. Select the option to turn off network discovery 

Click on save changes to successfully save it.

What does network discovery do

Network discovery is a Windows feature that makes your PC discoverable within nearby devices. Turn on network discovery means your PC is connectable to other nearby devices.

This feature works only if both devices are connected to the same wifi or ethernet network to be available in the network discovery section.

If you turn off this feature then your device will be invisible to other devices that want to connect with your PC.
